A National Treasure

People are in panic-mode with all the economic, bears-versus-bulls turmoil. Furthermore, we are in a state of uncertainty due to the impending presidential election, which will begin our new National chapter. I especially sense it as I stroll past our Nation's Capitol, while Congress is in session debating our future.

As I looked in the opposite direction, toward the National Monument, I saw a treasure; a promise!

My sense of uncertainty turned into a sense of security.

On one end of the National Mall, I saw the illuminated dome of our Nation's Capitol, where men were fighting for control of our Nation's future. On the other end of the Mall, I saw the National Monument reaching toward the sky and basking under the rays of the widest, prism-colored rainbow stretching across our Nation's Capital City, that I had ever witnessed. This was a gi-normous rainbow, my dear peeps, and a message of confirmation that our Nation is in God's hands! That was a "WOW!" moment.

Pray for our Nation!

God's Word and His promises will prevail. Now, that's quite a treasure!

Blessings: "Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and PRECIOUS PROMISES: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature..." II Peter 1:4

God speaks in strange ways. The rainbow has always been my source of Divine assurance.

Maryanne and I were coming out of the restaurant this morning and we also saw a rainbow. God's promises are steadfast and sure. What a blessing to know in these uncertain times. He is faithful.

Hey there Laura,

Neat photo! I too, saw a rainbow this morning and then 3 deer breakfasting across the pond from our backyard. It was a neat way to awaken and see God's handiwork and welcome the month of October (our b-day month:>)

God does not makes promises that he can not keep. Praise Him!
